Elders in Castellamare...

Castellamare was a beautiful little city on the coast. We went down to the boardwalk and wandered around while President was interviewing the Elders.

We visited with the missionaries briefly after the interviews. They are such sweet young men, and so happy. It sure helps me to prepare myself to send Andrew on his mission. It's nice to know they are so well taken care of and are having such a wonderful, uplifting experience here. The week before I left on my trip, I ran into someone whose neighbor's son was in this mission. I ended up bringing him and another friend of theirs a package. The one holding the bag is Elder Holloway. He has the package I brought him from home. He was so excited to get it! And, I was so glad to deliver it, after carrying it across the world! I was happy to do it. I know that I would love it if someone did that for my sons.

All over Italy you will see Italian men just sitting on park benches for hours. They have such a relaxed lifestyle here. It is more similar to a South American attitude with siestas during the hours of 1-4 p.m. There are some words that the Italians always tell Karen, "calmo" or "tranquilo". It's all about calming down, going slower. It's a great thing in Italy.

This is the thing the younger crowd seems to like to do with their time.
