Four Baptisms in Rome...

While we have been visiting here in Italy, we have been to a total of four baptisms, just in President & Sister Acerson's ward! It has really been amazing to be a part of such an amazing time. These are pictures from three of the baptisms.

The first & second baptisms were the night we got home from the Amalfi Coast drive. It was the husband of a member and another new convert, a sweet sister. I forgot both of their names. It was nice, even though I couldn't understand a word; the spirit spoke loud. Everything else since has been translated for us through the missionaries. It is much more enjoyable when you can understand what they are saying! The sisters that taught her were so much fun. I got to know them over the time here in Rome. Sister Ferry is my Stake President's neice, what a small world. Sister Olmstead and Sister Harvey were darling. Sister Olmstead is a convert to the church, joined in the last few years. She will be going home to California this transfer. It was funny, when we asked her what she was doing with her life when she got home, she said she wasn't sure. She said that she was hoping to figure it out when she was on the airplane!

The third baptism was Maria. She is a nice sister that has been being taught for quite some time. Some of her family was able to come and even brought her some flowers. It was nice to see them support her in this endeavor. The Elders were Lisonbee and Greener. They are the assistants to President. Elder Lisonbee is from Orem and he gets to come home this transfer. Elder Greener is from England and has the most charming voice you have ever heard.

The last one was after church on our last Sunday here. We didn't have our camera with us. The gentlemen's name was Jeseppe (sp?) and he actually knocked on the church door. He had read the Book of Mormon online and wanted to know about our church. He was a nice man, probably in his 60's. It was a great baptism.

Hi, I randomly stumbled on your blog while searching for pictures of Florence. You take such beautiful photos! Do you mind telling me what type of camera you have? I've been in the market for a fancy camera lately but haven't decided which one to get. Thanks in advance and thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures!
