Sundance Kids Camp...

Nathan & Harrison have been feeling a little left out this summer. Not that they have been complaining at all...we have just been focussing so much on Andrew & Janessa. Janessa has her summer camp going and lots of activities, and Andrew has marching band, camps, etc. Janessa was at Girl's Camp this week and Andrew & Rick were on their high-adventure. I decided it would be fun to try Sundance Kids Camp for the boys. They loved every second of it!

I was a little nervous about them the first day, but when I went to pick them up, this is what I found...

Nathan had made his own fishing pole with a stick and string with a carrot tied to the end.

Harrison had a net and was bound and determined to catch a fish!

They got to ride the ski lift to the top of the mountain each of the days. They hiked all over the mountains looking for bugs & animals. They would hide in the bushes with binaculars. They got to see "hundreds" of butterflies, deer and some squirrels. They also said they saw coyotte scat (the word they actually used...glad they are learning better terminology).

The first day they got to go to the Art Center and make some pottery. We are supposed to pick it up in a month and a half. Will someone remind me? Mom?

The second day they went on a drive and then hiked aruond Cascade Springs, where there is water bubbling out of the ground. It's a favorite place of ours, but we haven't been for a while.

When I would go and pick them up, I couldn't help but sit and watch them play for a little bit. I really love Sundance, it's such a beautiful, slow-paced environment. Time seems to stop when you are visiting. This summer camp was great, worth every penny. I think they would like to go next year.
