I know, I know...I'm not the Young Women's President anymore. Neither is Jen Marx my laurel advisor anymore. That doesn't stop us from having an awesome Laurel party!
Jen just moved into a gorgeous new house and we have all been dying to see it. Our laurels have been begging to have another cooking party. We are so sad that we have three laurels (four including our adopted one) that are graduating from high school this month. The girls have been dying to come over and play Rock Band. The reasons to have a party were really piling up.
Bree, Stephanie, Molly, Christina, Kacee and Rachel (our adopted laurel from the 9th ward) all came to our party. Bree, Molly, Rachel & Kacee are graduating and moving on to bigger and better things.
We made Spicy Chicken Bow-tie Pasta (ask me for the recipe...it's fantastic), Warm Spinach Salad & Sour Cream Bread (both Stephanie Stott's ideas, and they were amazing), and we had Chocolate Pots 'de Creme with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries for dessert.
After dinner, we had a tour of Jen's amazing house and then went into the theater room to play Rock Band (thanks for letting us borrow it, Andrew!)
We had such a great time. Jen & I really miss hanging out with these girls...they are the best around. We are so proud of all of their accomplishments. We hope they remember us, even after they have found the bigger and better things!
(Doesn't Molly look like she could be one of those tall, gorgeous, skinny girls that are back-ups in the rock bands?)
